Energy Sector Investment Opportunities 

Energy is vital for any sector of the economy to operate whether it is in agriculture, manufacturing, and mining. The most used energy sources in Malawi include hydroelectricity, fossil fuels, and biomass. To meet the growing demand for energy for household and industrial use, the government is inviting local and foreign investors to invest in energy generation, transmission and distribution. Investment opportunities exist in the following areas: biogas and renewable power generation, hydro generation, solar energy, wind energy, oil pipeline facilities, thermal power plant and biomass stoves.
